Blueberry & kale breakfast smoothie

INGREDIENTS (Serves 1)

1 ripe banana

Handful of frozen blueberries, about half a cup

2 handfuls of shredded and washed kale

2 tablespoons chia seeds

4 tablespoons rolled (old-fashioned) oats 

2 dates, pitted

2 tablespoons soy- or coconut yoghurt (no flavor)

METHOD

  1. Place all of the ingredients into a blender or food processor.

  2. Pulse until smooth - adding a dash of almond milk if needed.

  3. Decorate with chopped almonds, pepitas and coconut flakes (optional).
