Heavenly, healthy chocolate!
Two of my diet principles is to eat as little processed food and refined sugar as possible. According to the source of this recipe, Oslo Raw founder Tiril Refsum, this homemade chocolate contains a lot of antioxidants, proteins, fiber and healthy fats. Hands down the best chocolate I have ever tasted. Bonus - it’s teenage-daughter approved!
This, of course, doesn’t justify binging. A little piece will satisfy my sweet tooth and create the feeling of indulgence. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Ingredients
1 dl cocoa butter
5 tablespoons cocoa powder
3 tablespoons almond butter
2 tablespoons coconut sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder (not vanilla sugar..)
Topping (optional)
Chopped almonds
Hemp seeds
Pumpkin seeds
Method
Heat water in a medium large pot, until it’ almost boiling. Put the cocoa butter into another, smaller pot, and place the small pot into/ over the big pot for the butter to melt.
When melted, add to another bowl and mix with the additional ingredients. Stir until you have a sauce without lumps.
Cover a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate sauce in and sprinkle with desired topping.
Freeze until the chocolate is hardened.
